Mobile 2.0
Innominds provides:
Web 3.0
A major shift is taking place on the world wide web. We're moving from an application-driven web 2.0 world to a semantic or web 3.0 one. While this shift is going to take a substantial amount of time, it is already taking place.
The key to understanding web 3.0 is to look at browsing and buying habits. Everyone has limited time and wants information quickly presented in a logical and organized fashion so they can make the best buying decision. We also want to be able to access this information from anywhere in the world on a variety of different devices. For example, the percentage of Americans accessing information online using mobile phones and other hand-held devices is higher the percentage of Americans with access to high-speed internet from a home computer.
Web 3.0 provides people more intelligent information at lightning speed paces allowing them to make the best decisions. It also allows us to communicate in a variety of different capacities from virtual reality worlds to live streaming video and audio.
Semantic Web
Right now, the web's structure is geared for humans. It's easy for us to visit a web page and understand what it's all about. Computers can't do that. A search engine might be able to scan for keywords, but it can't understand how those keywords are used in the context of the page.
With the Semantic Web, computers will scan and interpret information on web pages using software agents. These software agents will be programs that crawl through the web, searching for relevant information. They'll be able to do that because the Semantic Web will have collections of information called ontologies. In terms of the Internet, an ontology is a file that defines the relationships among a group of terms.
A.I.D.C (Auto Identification and Data Capture : Smart Card / RFID) Track & Manage Solutions
The increasing use of Smart Cards for computer / internet user authentication and non-repudiation, retailer loyalty programs, physical access, resort cards, mass transit, mass transit ticketing schemes, electronic toll, product tracking, national ID, drivers license, pass ports, etc opened a gate of opportunity to Innominds both in terms of product integration and solution creation.
Identifying, tracking and managing people & products through the next generation technologies and solutions has become utmost important to enterprises of any size opening a gate of opportunity to Innominds again.
This importance can be supported by means of reckoning and reporting of the position of vehicles and containers with the property of concern, stored, for example, traffic congestion monitoring and management, in a real-time database. This approach leaves the task to compose a coherent depiction of the subsequent status reports.
Another approach is to track, monitor, manage users / citizens / patients health condition, medication history, allergy, insurance, providers, emergency contact, etc.
Another approach is to report the arrival or departure of the object and recording the identification of the object, the location where observed, the time, and the status. This approach leaves the task to verify the reports regarding consistency and completeness.
RFID is synonymous with track-and-trace solutions, and has a critical role to play in supply chains. RFID is a code-carrying technology, and can be used in place of a barcode to enable non-line of sight-reading. Deployment of RFID was earlier inhibited by cost limitations but the usage is now increasing.
A convergence of RFID, Smart Card & GPS has become the need-of-the-hour and Innominds is working towards attaining excellency in this domain.
Financial Inclusion
Financial Inclusion (FI) is the term describing the directive of the Government of India to bring banking services to those sections of citizenry that have hitherto been denied or found very difficult to use banking channels for their financial requirements. With the increased allotments of benefits both cash and non cash being made available under schemes sponsored by Govt. of India/State Governments, the Union Finance Ministry had mandated the delivery of such benefits to be made electronically using biometrics, smartcards and mobile POS technology, integrated with banking systems.
Innominds in association with Intel has been actively building PoCs / Solutions by providing platform enablement, hardware - software integration of components such as smartcards / smart card readers, mobile printers, enrollment services (Smartcard, biometrics), and developing Handheld Software Applications in the areas of Point-Of-Sale, Sales Force Automation, PDS (Public Distribution Schemes) to mention a few.
M2M (Machine To Machine)
Machine-to-Machine, or “M2M”, is the technological revolution that will change people's everyday lives. It stands for automatic data communication between a diverse range of technical devices, e.g. vehicles, containers, alarm systems or electric meters. By linking these “machines” through various mobile and fixed networks, machines are able to communicate with one another across the world – while also being monitored and serviced remotely.
Innominds Focus areas:
Mobile Biometrics
Though security applications that verify a person's identity based on their physical attributes, such as fingerprint readers or iris scanners, have been in use for some time, biometric security has only recently started to appear in mobile phones, tablets and notebook computers where the need for miniaturization represents a technological challenge.
Work @ Innolabs:
The envisaged system essentially has two main elements. The first, an authentication module, uses biometric security applications to verify the user's identity which in turn gives them access to the second module which digitally signs the data using a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
The envisaged system, which is designed for new generation smart phones and WiFi-enabled tables, offers three methods of biometric identification. One employs the digital cameras that have become common place in mobile devices along with a face recognition application to identify the user based on their facial features. Another uses voice recognition software – also detecting any asynchrony between speech and lip movements - and the third verifies the handwritten signature of the user on the device's touch screen. The three methods are used in combination to enhance the overall levels of security and reliability, and most importantly they require no hardware additions to mobile devices.
